Mah Pets!!!! Awwwhhhh

Background courtesy of butterflyutopia.com

This is Misty. She is a West Highland White Terrier (Terror). My sister and I saved up and bought her ourselves. She is about four years old. She likes to play a lot, and she likes to run around with Lizzie and Heidi. She is really super fast and is hard to catch if she gets loose. Which isn't good with our new house because we have a lot of traffic on our street. She's willing to sit on your lap for hours! She often reminds me of a cat! She does like to take 'cat naps'. She also tries to grab things with her paws. Her favorite foods are table scraps, like cheese, bread crusts, and spaghetti. All that good food made her picky. She only weighs about fifteen pounds. She has grown accustomed to being a house dog. She likes to sleep on the couch, and on top of pillows. She likes to sit and look outside. If we give her a bath and then let her outside, she likes to roll around and get dirty again, so if she is outside we keep her on a leash. Except sometimes, when we let her out for a few days to get all scrappy again lol. Her favorite toy is her bone, and if we give her food, she will try to bury it - anywhere she can think of, under blankets, pillows, seat cushions, hands, coats, the couch, in her kennel, etc. She can do some tricks... The ones that come to mind are: Speak, sit, lay, roll over, beg, foot (it looks like she waves) and she can catch food mid-air lol.

This is my dog Heidi Vonstalhaulmer. No I don't know how to spell her name, thank you. But it was worth a shot. She is a German Shepherd. She was born June 4, 2001. We got her when she was eight weeks old. She likes to chew up anything she can get her teeth around haha. And she likes digging and barking at neighbors. Especially late at night when everyone's trying to get to sleep. She's scared of thunderstorms and fireworks. She likes to chew on tree roots, and play keep away with anything she can find. Her job is to keep away anything, and everything in the yard, even the tiniest little bugs she can find. Her parents were from Germany. We love her very much (even if she does freak out over fireworks). She also likes to bug my other dog Lizzie, and play in the baby pool we got her. She likes to have her tummy rubbed, and to be scratched. She is afraid of the hose too, which makes it hard for you to bathe her. If you even spell w.a.l.k., she will start to get really, really excited. She hates having her picture taken!

This is my dog Elizabeth. We call her Lizzie. She is a Pug. She was born December 19, 1996. She had a lump on her leg and we found out she had cancer, so she had it removed in February 2004. We love her so so much. She is obedient with a little bribing. She knows how to do a few tricks, like dancing. She likes to spend time with people, and eat as much food she can keep in her little tummy (or should I say big?!?)! She will eat ANYTHING. Even pumpkin. I think she likes steak bones best. She can sound really scary if she growls, but her bark isn't as scary. She is really sweet, and really wishes she were a house dog. She does absolutely despise the hose! She gets excited if you spell w.a.l.k. too.

This is my sister's Guinea Pig. Her name is Angel II. We got her after our first Guinea Pig died, on August 20, 2003. We named her after that Guinea, thus Angel II. Guineas' can often live for 20 years or more. They are kind of like big Gerbils, with no tail, and they don't bite very often, only if they are hurt, afraid or if they are hungry. She is sweet, and once she was temporally blind, but now she is fine. She sheds ALL of the time! She must like carrots best, because that is what she eats fastest!! Ha ha!! Her nails can get really long and sharp though. It's fun to make the same noises as her, it's kind of hard though. Their voices are really high pitched. She has such good hearing that if I say something in two rooms away she will hear and start to squeak for food!! She eats way too fast, so she gets hungry a lot. She's very curious!

This is my Guinea Pig August. We got her August 20, 2003, that is obviously why I named her August. Once she got really sick and I was super scared but we made sure to put lots of wheat germ on her food and to give her lots of veggies. I love her a lot. She is very sweet and likes to suck on my finger. She has longer hair than my sister's Guinea Pig. She seems to like taking baths. She likes Timothy hay. She squeaks a lot, especially when she is hungry. She squeaks whenever she hears my voice in the morning, or a bag rattle. She's very interested in the camera, and will pose for it too! Her favorite cereal is Honeycomb. She loves being walked around the house, too, when given the opportunity.

This is a pretty little butterfly. There's a lot of these in our front yard. I call this one Juleighana (although I'm not sure if it's a boy or a girl but we'll go with it). Because we have so many butterfly bushes we have lotssss of butterflies. I think that's cool. But there's bees too. That's not cool.

We have a lot of birds in our yard. Sometimes we'll get a whole flock like this one. Cute! And sometimes, because we have so many bird feeders, we get cute little bitty American Goldfinches like this one:

They're only a few inches tall. They're so cute. This one is a boy. I'll call him George. George visits us a lot and brings lots of other cutie pies like him along too.

And then we have this guy. The little punk. Stealing food from the poor little birdies. Don't you know we have an acorn tree? Go take some acorns. God put it there for you. I'll call our little squirrel-y Sneaker. Because he's sneaky. But you know, I don't mind. He's pretty spiffin' cute too.

Thanks for visiting my page and seeing all my pets and the animals that visit my yard that I put on this page. I hope it was enjoyable for you to read all about them.
